We passed this really cool bridge at about seven in the morning just north of Olympia while the rain fell on us until about Salem. We then found that the clouds were breaking up and we had sunny skies all the way to our first stop in Redding.
We stopped at the Country Cousin Family Resturant in Centralia a short time later and found that the eggs were really that fresh as they advertised. I just hope this little bird did not become someone's lunch later.
Just south of Salem, Oregon we stopped and ate some snacks. We all used the bathroom and I ended up driving the car the rest of the way, at least until I was too tired to continue. Then Mom took over and drove the rest of the way to Redding, California. 
Before We left the rest stop though, I managed to snap a picture of this pretty Iris. 
Just after we crossed into Northern California, I looked back and saw little Nick asleep and got a chuckle about the way hes was sleeping. It wasn't much longer that we ended up stopping at the Ramada Inn in Redding, California.
Tommorow night's update will be from Aneheim, California. If we can make it without falling aslle alongside the road somewhere.
