Sock Club times 2!

Hello again, I know it has been a very long time since my last update or post here, but I decided to take a diffrent route regarding my Sock club memberships this year since they arrive every month instead of every other month now. It's a time saver really.

The March shipment from Blue Moon Fiber Arts was AWESOME to say the least. It was just what I was craving due to the lousy and mostly dreary weather we have been having here in Washongton state. All thos bright colors mingled together made me just toss aside what I was working on and cast on these socks. They turned out awesome too!

Hazel knits was a great suprise as well. It is almost as if we have dyers that read our minds. It helps that they live here in the PNW, and experience the same cruddy weather too. (Snow in April, come on nature, are you kidding?) The pinks and greens reminded me of pretty flowers, and the pattern really set off the whole shebang by pulling both of the sock colors together in a nice little package that made me display them longer than the other shipments.

I can't wait to see what comes next time in the yarn club shipments now. I may end up ordering some more of that yummy colorway from Blue Moon Fiber Arts, and mabie the pink color from Hazel Knits in the pink colorway. I don't know if I will though, I have to save money for Sock Summit after all.

Sock Yarn Club!

Well, I have finally bit the bullet and signed up for a sock Yarn club from an independent dyer. sadly though, I did not get in for this round of wonderful yarn, and I have to wait for June to start recieveing my shipment of sock knitting happiness. The biggest problem for me though, was deciding which dyers sock yarn club to sign up for.

I thhought about Blue Moon Fiber Arts, but it was an awful lot of money, and I just could not justify spending that money right now. I may sign up for next years yarn club through them though. Perhaps it will be a late christmas present to myself, or mabie I can drop many hints to my husband and have him make it my present from hom. It is after all, the gift that keeps giving. All year long.

I then looked at the Hazel Knits sock yarn club (I wanted to support a local artist), and was a bit sad to see that I missed the sign up deadline for February to May and would have to wait until June to start recieveing my goodies. however, I liked that the club only lasted for four months, and I was not stuck in a Year long commitment in case I did not like some of the stuff I recieved.

Also, this is my first sock yarn club ever, So i liked the idea of going for about four months at a time to see how I liked it.

I like Hazel Knits yanrs anyhow, so the decisionkind of made itself for me. The colors that they come up with always amaze me, and I just drool over them before finally buying the yarn. the next really hard decision for me is what to knit with my treasure. Sock yarn that fabulous really deserves to be knit into a really awesome pair of socks.

Now I just hope I don't forget my yarn club membership before June, if I do, I will be really suprised by the package that arrives in the mail. Not to mention the yarn.
